Vivo V40e key specifications leaked ahead of expected India launch: display, processor, battery and what we know

The upcoming Vivo V40e smartphone is expected to launch in India by the end of September, featuring a MediaTek 7300 processor, up to 8GB of RAM and a 5,500 mAh battery with 80W fast charging. It may also adopt a design inspired by the iPhone 16 Pro series.

Vivo has been on a roll with its product launches for the past few weeks and if a new report is to be believed, the Chinese smartphone maker might be all set to launch another smartphone in the Indian market. The specifications of this new device, the Vivo V40e, have been leaked via a new Mysmartprice report which gives us an indication of what lies ahead.

According to reports, the Vivo V40e could debut by the end of September but an exact launch date is yet to be finalized. Moreover, the phone may take some major cues from the iPhone 16 Pro series’ Desert Titanium colorway and come in a Royal Bronze finish while other color details are minimal.

According to reports, the V40e is expected to be powered by a MediaTek 7300 processor and come with up to 8GB of RAM. It can run on FunTouch OS 14 based on Android 14. Notably, this is the same processor that debuted in India with the CMF Phone 1 and has since been seen in many other devices like the Oppo Reno 12 Pro and the Motorola Razr 50.

The V40e is expected to come in a slim 3D curved design with a peak brightness of 4,500 nit and Vivo may market it as India’s thinnest smartphone. The phone is also said to come with a massive 5,500 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, much like its bigger sibling.

Notably, Vivo recently launched the Vivo T3 Ultra in the sub-₹35,000 smartphone segment, taking on competition from the likes of Realme GT 6T, OnePlus Nord 4 and more. The T3 Ultra is powered by the flagship MediaTek 9200+ processor and comes with a 5,500mAh battery and 80W fast charging.
